Electronic Load Controller based on Dimmer Circuit and Stepper Motor for 5 kW Micro-Hydro Power Plant

This paper presents the results of research on a new schematic generator load controller simulation, namely an electronic based dimmer circuit and stepper motor for small-scale 5 kW micro-hydro. The is built from with program control using Matlab software, PPI 8255 interface device. Using diac, triac, variable resistor (pot), capacitor components. As well as 28BYJ-48 motor. Simulation made to determine performance in controlling distribution power ballast when supplies consumers less than full generator. By simulation data 45 variations consumer sample, result that there are only 4 samples where not working well. For samples, was loaded beyond its tolerance limit (full 5kW ± %). Overall, results, it can be said controllers tested this study have good performance.
